Our EPOXO systems are widely used in the marine and offshore industries. Noted for its outstanding adhesion, EPOXO 440G and Epoxo Primer provides really first class corrosion protection in harsh environments. The products meets stringent US DOD Milspec requirements and is used on both US Navy and Royal Navy warship decks.

It also meets these additional naval requirements :-

• Abrasion resistant
• Withstands very high temperatures (i.e. Harrier jet blast)
• Withstands a wide range of fuel oils and chemicals
• Extremely skid resistant
• EPOXO is the coating of choice on aircraft carrier decks, it has also been installed on a large number of helicopter decks on offshore drilling rigs.

Other marine uses are Ro-Ro ramps caissons, navigation buoys, trawler decks, rig supply vessels, tugs and weather decks generally.

Aluminium decks can also be protected with EPOXO, and many naval vessels are aluminium hull structures. To obtain a suitable key onto aluminium, requires priming with our Acid Etch Primer

Preparation of Steel Surfaces
Degrease; grit blast to SA2.5 standard using a Blastrac or similar unit. Prime with Epoxo Metal Primer.

Preparation of Aluminium surfaces
Degrease; remove any loose or flaking materials, ensure surface is dry, primer with our Acid etching primer.
